It´s been great to open our new school for 70 wonderful kids who attend our summer session.
We do all kind of learning and
entertaining activities. Art, English, Music, outdoor activities, cooking…
We thanks our VFP and USFQ volunteers for their hard work in the classroom, the kitchen, the plaground, the organic garden…
We have finally ended all the necessary construction for our school to be safe for our kids. It has been a lot of effort, but we will see happy kids in the school pretty soon.
We would like to express our appreciation to our friends Rosa and Sarah for their fund raising event in their school in Pittsburg. Your contribution helped a lot in the completion of our school.
The parents of the kids continue to finalize the painting of the new pre school. They are happy to see the final product. They are very happy about their kids enjoying a nice pre school center. We feel we are very blessed we have been able to provide this learning space for little kids in Lumbisi.
An important news magazine visited our new child care center. They interviewed Miriam Chillan, the president of the kids mothers.
Our FEVI host families, and volunteers got together for a nice dinner in Lumbisi community hall. The mothers told us they are going to miss the person they have been caring for in their homes.
And our volunteers, will also keep in their hearts, their loving host parents.
What a blesssing for the families in Lumbisi and Tonsupa! Our friends from Ivy Hall School in Utah came to spend one week with the kids and their families in these two communities. What a blessing for Ivy Hall kids and their families!
We thank their teacher, Lauren, for making this visit a gracefull reality!
We spent one morning with the mothers and the kids in Lumbisi, painting the lunch room, cleaning the yard for their new playground, delivering school supplies and clothes for the kids… Happy mothers and kids everywhere…
Thanks to the ladies and the kids from Ivy Hall who painted the lunch room in such a short time!
We did what the families needed most…
a bathroom, a kitchen…
Not much for some…
The whole world of a difference for some others…
Big smiles everywhere!
A hole in the ground, some bricks, some cement, some bamboo… Loving hands… That is all it takes…
We learned some kids need to go to the forest because there is no bathroom next to their bamboo home… Well, that was until our friends came to visit them…
Our thanks to all the people in the construction team!
