LUMBISI COMMUNITY
FEVI/01: ¨Muñequitos¨ FEVI Child Care Center

Pre school for 60 kids ages three to four. The center is located in Lumbisí, an indigenous community. Volunteers assist the teachers in the kids daily care, education, and entertainment activities. Volunteers will also help the community mothers in preparing and serving breakfast to the little kids. The center is open from 8 a.m. till 12 noon. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI/02: Pedro Echeverria Technical School

Public high school for boys and girls in Lumbisí, an indigenous community. This high school prepares students for carpentry, car mechanics, bakery and also regular high school classes. Volunteers are needed to help teachers with English, Math, Sports, Computers. The high school is open from 7 a.m. till 1 p.m. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI/03: Lumbisi Organic Gardens

FEVI started this project for the production of fresh vegetables for the kids and the elderly people in the community. Volunteers will maintain the gardens, pick up products and deliver them to FEVI child care center and the elderly people lunch room in the Lumbisí Community. Flexible work hours. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI/04: Lumbisi elderly people center

¨El Comedor¨ is the community lunch room for elderly people in the Lumbisi community. Volunteers will help prepare and serve food to the elderly. Volunteers will help disabled elderly in their daily walks to the center. Volunteers will also help with recreation activities for the elderly. The elderly people center is open every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI/05: INNFA nursery center for babies and little kids in Lumbisi

Volunteers assist community mothers in the care of babies and little kids. The center is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI/06: Rotary Club Medical Center

Community health center for low income people. The center also provides adult education classes on several areas. The health center is located in Cumbaya, native community. Volunteers will help nurses and doctors and will also help in adult education classes like how to use computers, gardening, sewing, bakery, English. Schedule is flexible. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI/07: FEVI Learning Center for school age kids

FEVI’s afternoon school is open from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Volunteers teach little kids English, Sports, Art, and help them with school homework. 

COTACACHI COMMUNITY 
FEVI/08:  School

Elementary School for 160 kids. Volunteers help teachers with English, Math, Sports, Sciences. School schedule is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers live with native host families.


TONSUPA COMMUNITY (Esmeraldas Province)
FEVI/09: Gonzalo Pizarro School

Elementary School for 160 kids. Volunteers help teachers with English, Math, Sports, Sciences. School schedule is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers live with native host families.

FEVI / 10 Miguel de Cervantes School (Cotacachi)

A small, indigenous elementary school with 50 students. All of the kids speak Quechua as their main language, and they also speak Spanish. Volunteers live in the school and eat meals in the school with an indigenous family who takes care of the school.  Volunteers will work in the FEVI summer camp, helping local teachers with recreation and learning activities for the kids.
